How To: Hide Unanswered Questions When Exporting Results To Word

Overview

SurveyToGo has many exporting features available.
One of them is the exporting to Word format.
Sometimes when we conduct interviews with questions that are being skipped, therefore, some questions are left without an answer.
This ‘How To’ will show you how to hide those un-answered questions when you export your survey results to word in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Opening the exporting wizard

First of all, we should open the exporting wizard:

  • Choose to export results:
  • Then, choose the word provider:

Step 3: Configuring the word exporter

Now, in the last screen of the exporting wizard, you would see the ‘Word Exporter’ special options:

You should select the ‘Hide null answers.

If you wish, there are more configurations settings for you to choose from.

  • Now when you export your results to Word, un-answered questions will not appear.

How To: Add A Signature Question

Overview

If you wish to add a Signature Question, this ‘How To’ will show you how.

  • Create a Free Text question.
  • Under its ‘Answers’ tab, tick the ‘Show as Signature’ checkbox:
  • This is how the question will look like on the device:
  • Now the respondent would be able to sign in the specified box.
    If the survey is on PC, he can sign with the mouse.
    If the survey is on a Android Based Device with a touch screen, he can sign using the touch screen.
  • In the Operations Console you can view the signature either on the ‘Attachments’ tab
  • Or in the ‘Data’ tab:

How to remove the automatic synchronization of surveys and results of SurveyToGo on the PDA

By default SurveyToGo on the PDA and PC comes pre-configured to use Auto-Sync. In this mode, whenever a new interview is conducted, if the device is connected to the internet, the interview is sent to the SurveyToGo Server. In addition, every 10 minutes the surveys are synched as well.

You can choose to change this configuration and disable to Auto-Sync. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the “Tools > Options” menu:
  2. From the options screen, select the “Auto Sync” tab:
  3. Then, deselect the “Version Updates” first and afterwards, deselect the “Data” box:
  4. Click the OK button & That’s it.

Please note that now, in order to synchronize you will need to manually click the “Synchronize > Surveys”:
