SurveyToGo Studio Manual

Overview

After you create and save your survey, the next step is to see it working on the tablet or phone. This can be done very easily by following these steps:

1. Create a test survey – If you haven’t done this yet, you can view our online video to see how to do this.
2. Target the survey to Android instead of windows. This is done from the Advanced tab of the survey:

   

3. Put the survey in “Test” mode or “Production” mode:
4. Next, you will need of course to install SurveyToGo on the Android tablet or phone – you can read a step by step instruction on how to do this here: http://manual.dooblo.net/2010/12/14/installing-surveytogo-for-android/
5. Finally, simply login to SurveyToGo on the tablet or phone with your SurveyToGo credentials, make sure you are connected to the internet and wait a few seconds for the app to synchronize, that’s it! You should now be able to see your deployed surveys on your phone or tablet.

Overview

Installing SurveyToGo on your PDA can be done easily through one of these 3 options:

• Installing from the SurveyToGo Studio application
  This is comfortable for your first installation, as it is done through the SurveyToGo Studio application.
• Installing over-the-air directly from the PDA
  This is the preferred way to have your surveyors install SurveyToGo remotely without the need to have anything installed on any desktop computer. Any surveyor can install SurveyToGo this way.
• Downloading the desktop installation and installing from the desktop
  This way of installation is effective when surveyors have no internet connection from their devices and still you would like the surveyors to install SurveyToGo on their PDA’s by themselves.

Installing from the SurveyToGo Studio application

To install SurveyToGo directly from the SurveyToGo Studio, follow these steps:

1. Expand the “Client Installations” node in the Studio:
2. Double click the “PDA Client Install”:
3. In the page that opens, click the “Click Here” link to start the installation:
4. This will bring up the installation wizard that will start installing SurveyToGo to your PDA.
5. You can also choose to right-click the “PDA Client Install” node and select “Install”:

Installing over-the-air directly from the PDA

To install SurveyToGo directly from the SurveyToGo Studio, follow these steps:

1. Open the Pocket Internet explorer on your PDA
2. Browse to: http://www.dooblo.net/pda
3. Click on the link that says SurveyToGo:
4. This will download and start the SurveyToGo installation on the PDA over-the-air.

Downloading the desktop installation and installing from the desktop

To download the SurveyToGo PDA desktop installation to a remote computer and install from there, follow these steps:

1. Download the SurveyToGo PDA desktop installation to the remote computer from this link:
   http://stg.dooblo.net/ws/ppc_cabs/pda_desk.exe
2. Then run the desktop installer to install SurveyToGo to the PDA.
3. You can also grab a copy of the desktop installer from right clicking on the “PDA Client Install” node and selecting “download desktop installer” from the SurveyToGo Studio:
